We use CCTV to find the entry point, repair it, and fit rat blockers (non-return valves) that let waste flow out but stop rats coming back in.
How rats get in through drains
Rats live in sewers and can swim, climb vertical pipes and squeeze through surprisingly small gaps. A cracked pipe, a displaced joint, an old unused connection or a missing interceptor cap gives them a route into cavity walls, under floors and into lofts.
