1.Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to find information, get a quote and book a drainage engineer online — including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, voice control, screen magnifier or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2.What we’ve done
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and lists so they make sense to screen readers.
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons are designed to meet AA colour-contrast levels, and the site still works when text is enlarged to 200%.
- Every form field has a label, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in words — not just colour — and announced to assistive technology.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animations are switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap on a phone, and phone numbers are click-to-call.
- Maps are optional: our service area and contact details are always available as text.
- Accordions, menus and pop-ups announce whether they are open or closed.
3.Known limitations
We know some parts of the site may not be fully accessible yet:
- CCTV survey reports are produced as PDFs by specialist reporting software and may not work perfectly with screen readers. We are happy to talk you through any report or send the findings in another format.
- Google Maps embeds and Google reCAPTCHA are provided by Google, and we can’t control all of their accessibility. You can always call or email us instead of using a form.
- Videos may not have captions or transcripts yet. We’re adding them as we publish new content.
- Some guides contain tables that are easier to read on a larger screen; they scroll sideways on small phones.
If you find a problem that isn’t listed here, please tell us so we can fix it.
4.Other ways to contact us
If anything on the website is difficult to use, you can reach us directly:
- Phone: 07300 600 950 (7 days · 6am–8pm). Text relay users can call via Relay UK by dialling 18001 before our number.
- Email: info@urgentdrainagesolutions.co.uk
We can take your booking over the phone, send information in large print or plain text, call instead of texting (or text instead of calling), and allow extra time at the door. Just let us know what works for you — we’ll note it on your account so you don’t have to repeat it.
5.Feedback
Tell us about any accessibility problem by phone or email, including the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 working days and to fix problems as quickly as we can. If you aren’t happy with our response, see our complaints procedure. You can also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
6.How we checked this website
This statement was prepared on 17 September 2026, when the website was rebuilt. It is based on a self-assessment using automated testing tools and manual checks with a keyboard and screen reader on desktop and mobile. We review the statement at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes to the site.
